Jeff Clarkson

Coach Jeff Clarkson is heading into his 8th season as the Lions head boys basketball coach.  In his seven seasons at PCA, he has led the Lions to 1 State Championship (2023), 2 State Final appearances (2019, 2023), 4 Final Fours (2019, 2023, 2024, 2025), and 4 district championships (2022,2023,2024,2025).  Coach Clarkson is an alumni of Plano East Senior High where he helped lead the Panthers to a state runner-up finish in 1994, he then went on to play at Collin College (94-96) and Tarleton State University (96-98). Coach Clarkson began his coaching career as an assistant at Tarleton State University before moving to the high school level.  He spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Naaman Forest and The Colony High School before taking the head coaching position at Naaman Forest in 2003.  In nine seasons at Naaman Forest, Coach Clarkson led the Rangers to two district titles and a UIL 5A Final Four appearance in 2012.  Coach Clarkson then became the head coach his alma mater Plano East in 2012.  At Plano East, Coach Clarkson led the Panthers to 2 district titles and a regional appearance in 2013.  Coach Clarkson became the head coach at PCA in 2018.  Coach Clarkson has been married to Tera for 21 years, Tera teaches hybrid 3rd grade at PCA.  They have three kids at PCA, Trent is a senior, Malorie is a sophomore, and Macey is in sixth grade.
