Prestonwood Christian Academy volleyball came out with a purpose Tuesday night and never let up, putting together a dominant three-set performance to sweep Bishop Lynch 25-22, 25-17, 25-12.

From the opening serve, the Lady Lions set the tone with an aggressive attack, relentless defense, and consistent pressure at the service line. What began as a competitive opening set quickly turned into a statement performance, as PCA continued to build momentum with each set.

The Lady Lions opened with a 25-22 victory before turning up the intensity in the second set. PCA took control early and never looked back, pulling away for a 25-17 win and taking a commanding two-set lead.

PCA then exploded in the third set, racing to a 25-12 victory and putting the match away in convincing fashion. The Lady Lions’ attack continued to find openings while the defense kept Bishop Lynch form builing any sustained momentum.

PCA finished the night with 49 kills while hitting an impressive .380 as a team. The Lady Lions also recorded 42 digs, five service aces, and four total blocks in a complete team performance.

Taylor Johnson let the offensive charge with 16 kills and a .560 hitting percentage, consistantly putting pressure on the Bishop Lynch defense. Nyla Livings added 12 kills while hitting a team-best .579, giving the Lady Lions another powerful option at the net. Gracie White added five kills, while Elizabeth Kowalchyk contributed four.

Behind the attack, PCA’s defense continued to battle for every point. Naomi Livings and Kowalchyk each recorded nine digs, while Johnson added eight. Ayna Baklenko finished with seven digs, and Austyn Kidwell contributed four as the Lady Lions kept the ball moving and extended rallies throughout the night.

PCA also made its presence felt at the service line. Johnson recorded two aces, while Livings and Kowalchyk each added one. At the net, White led the Lady Lions with two blocks as PCA’s front-row defense helped close out points.

The biggest take away from the night was the way PCA continued to raise its level. After taking a close first set, the Lady Lions tightened their grip in the second before completely taking over in the third.

It was a performance built on energy, balance, and execution - and one that showed exactly what PCA can look like when every part of the line up is clicking.

The Lady Lions look to carry that momentum into their next matches as the season continues to heat up.
