Prestonwood Christian Academy | 10/1/2026

Prestonwood Christian Academy volleyball put together another commanding performance Tuesday night, sweeping Legacy Christian Academy 25-15, 25-14, 25-15, in a match that showcased the Lady Lions’ offensive firepower, relentless defense and ability to control the tempo from start to finish.

The Lady Lions attacked aggressively at the net, finishing points with authority and kept the pressure on Legacy Chrisitan throughout all three sets. By the time the final point dropped, PCA had completed a convincing sweep without legacy Chrisitan to score more than 15 points in any set.

At the center of the offensive attack was senior Nyla Livings, who continued her strong season with 11 kills on 16 attacks. Livings averaged 3.7 kills per set while hitting a .562, consistently giving the Lions another dangerous option at the net.

Taylor Johnson was right there alongside her, adding nine kills on 14 attacks and hitting .429. Gracie White chipped in six kills while hitting .545, while freshman Meiah Finley made the most of her opportunities, recording five kills on seven attacks without committing an error for a team-best .714 hitting percentage.

The offense continued to roll thanks to junior Elizabeth Kowalchyk, who orchestrated the attack with 31 assists - an average of more than 10 assists per set.

Together, the Lady Lions finished with 35 kills and a .388 team hitting percentage, putting constant pressure on Legacy Chrisitan’s defense.

The Lady Lions were equally aggressive from the service line, where they collected 17 aces and 45 total service points. Senior Anya Baklenko led the charge with four aces and 13 service points, while Livings added four aces and 10 points. Kowalchyk and sophomore Austyn Kidwell each contributed two aces as PCA repeatedly forced Legacy Christian to defend difficult serves.

When Legacy Christian managed to get the ball back across the net, the Lady Lions were ready. PCA recorded 30 digs with zero digging errors, led by senior Naomi Livings’ nine digs. Baklenko, Maci Mortenson, Kowalchyk, and Kidwell each added four digs as the Lady Lions continued to keep plays alive and extended rallies.

At the net, White provided another spark with three total blocks, including two assisted blocks and a solo block. Finley, Nyla Livings, and Johnson each added a block as PCA continued to make their presence felt defensively.

The result was a complete team performance - one where the Lions controlled the match in nearly every phase.

Three sets. Three decisive wins.

And another reminder that this PCA volleyball team has plenty of firepower.

With the regular season continuing to move forward, the Lady Lions are building momentum with every match, combining a balanced attack, aggressive serving and relentless defense into a style of volleyball that is difficult to slow down.

PCA isn’t just winning sets, they are setting the tone.
