Prestonwood Christian Academy volleyball continued its strong finish to the season Monday night, battling through four competitive sets to earn a 3-1 victory over Colleyville Heritage, 25-15, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21.

The Lady Lions came out with purpose in the opening set, setting the tone with a balanced offensive attack and strong play at the net. PCA closed out the first set 25-15, taking an early 1-0 lead in the match.

Colleyville Heritage answered in the second set, edging the Lions 25-23 to even the match. Rather than allowing the momentum to shift, PCA responded with two of its strongest sets of the night, taking the third 25-17 before finishing the match with a 25-21 victory in the fourth.

The Lady Lions’ offense produced 53 kills on 103 attacks, hitting .408 as a team. Nyla Livings led the way with 14 kills on 20 attacks, recording a .650 hitting percentage. Taylor Johnson added 14 kills of her own, along with five service aces and 11 digs in an all-around performance.

Gracie White also provided a major offensive spark, recording 10 kills on 13 attacks while hitting an impressive .692. She added three total blocks, including three block assists, to help anchor PCA at the net.

Naomi Livings added another nine kills, while Hayden Thomas contributed four kills and five total blocks. The Lady Lions finished with five total blocks as a team.

PCA’s serving game also played a key role in keeping pressure on Colleyville Heritage. The Lady Lions recorded 14 aces, with Johnson leading the way with 5. Evann Beville added four aces, while Elizabeth Kowalchyk contributed one ace and six service points.

Defensively, PCA finished with 54 digs, led by Johnson’s 11 and Naomi Livings’ nine. Ayna Bakenko added nine digs, while Kowalchyk recorded eight and Beville finished with seven.

Behind the service line and throughout the back row, the Lady Lions consistently battled to extend rallies and create opportunities for their offense. PCA also recorded 28 assists as a team, with Beville leading the way with 22 and Kowalchyk adding 19.

After dropping the second set by just two points, PCA responded with the kind of resilience that has defined the team's late-season push. The Lady Lions regained control in the third set and carried that momentum into the forth, closing out the match with a 25-21 victory.

With another four-set victory in the books, PCA continues to build momentum as the postseason approaches, showcasing the offensive firepower, defensive consistency and competitive edge that have made the Lady Lions a difficult matchup.
