Prestonwood Christian Academy Plano honored 12 student athletes who signed Letters of Intent to continue their education and play sports at the collegiate level.

Allison (Allie) Swindell signed to play women’s basketball at the United States Military Academy (West Point) as a power forward. She is a four-year Varsity player for PCA. Allie has 1000 career points and 1000 career rebounds. She is a two-time Prestonwood Defensive Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year. She was a three-time TAPPS 6A Second Team All-District, TAPPS 6A District Co-Newcomer of the Year, TAPPS 6A First Team All-District, and TAPPS 6A Academic All-State. PCA Varsity Girls Basketball Coach, Elgin Hollins said, “Allie is an outstanding person to be a part of PCA. It truly has been a privilege to coach her these last three years. There is no greater honor than getting to send one of my players to not only play at the next level but also to serve her country.”

Taylor Clarke signed to play volleyball at Princeton University as a right-side hitter. She has been at PCA for two years. PCA Varsity Volleyball Coach, Ryan Mitchell said, “Taylor is an amazing kid and an amazing athlete. She is lethal from both the front row and the back row. Her left-arm swing generates tons of power and kills for the team. She truly will be missed, not just by her whole team, but as a student from PCA as a whole.”

Audrey Letcher signed to play volleyball at Southern Arkansas University as a defensive specialist. She is a PCA Lifer and has been here for 13 years. She is also the first PCA Volleyball signee who has been at PCA for the entirety of her education! For Audrey, it wasn’t until her Senior year that she got the opportunity to play at the Varsity level. “Audrey is someone who works hard and invests her time into making things happen,” said PCA Varsity Volleyball Coach, Ryan Mitchell, “Her story is one of grit, passion, and dedication.”

Caleb Bengard signed to play football at Oklahoma Baptist University as a tight end. He has been at PCA for six years. Caleb was named All-District Honorable Mention for the 2023-24 season. PCA Varsity Football Coach, Donnie Yantis said, “His tireless work not only in the classroom but also in the weight room and the football field have afforded him this opportunity. We are excited for his future and we know he will be successful at OBU.”

Enzo Bingham signed to play football as a wide receiver and a defensive back at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. He is in his third year at PCA. Enzo was named 1st Team All-District Defensive Back and 2nd Team All-District Wide Receiver. “He is a football player through and through and is always working on his craft. It has been a blessing to coach him,” said Head PCA Varsity Football Coach Donnie Yantis.

Caiden Collins signed to play football as a running back for Davidson College. He has been at PCA for six years. Caiden was named 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-State his junior year, as well as rushing 1500 yards. Though he was injured during his senior season, he continued to work hard alongside and support his teammates throughout his final year. “Not only is Caiden an amazing football player but he wants to follow in his dad’s footsteps to become a doctor and I am excited for him to achieve that goal,” said PCA Varsity Football Coach Donnie Yantis.

Justin Dewers signed as a kicker for the Vanderbilt University Football Team. In his one year at PCA, he was named 1st Team All-District Kicker and Punter and 1st Team All-State Kicker. PCA Varsity Football Coach Donnie Yantis said “I know we have a great history of student athletes at this school, but I don’t know if there has ever been a better kicker at PCA. He adapted well and fit right in with our team in his first year. We are so excited and proud to watch him at Vanderbilt!”

Jack Harwell signed to play football at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He is a defensive line and he is in his second year at PCA. Jack was named 1st Team All-District as well as All-State Defensive Lineman. PCA Varsity Coach Donnie Yantis said “Jack truly is an athlete. It has been such a blessing to coach Jack. He is such a force on our defensive line. I am certainly excited for his future!”

Toriano (TJ) Hobbs Jr. signed to play football at the Virginia University-Lynchburg. He has attended PCA for one year. “One word that I would use to describe TJ is perseverance,” said PCA Varsity Coach Donnie Yantis. “All season he battled through injuries and he was always there to support all the guys on the team. He has a great arm and is an extremely strong and talented young man.”

Kaine Kozloski signed to play football at Missouri Southern State University as an offensive lineman. He is in his fourth year at PCA. “Kaine is the heartbeat of our program. Every single day he always brought energy and positivity even when battling through injuries the last two years. He is a protector of his teammates and he loves them so well. He is a leader both on and off the field,” said PCA Varsity Coach Donnie Yantis.

David Madison signed to play football at Oregon State University as a defensive back. He is in his second year at PCA. David was named 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-State throughout his time at PCA. Varsity Football Coach Donnie Yantis said, “One word that describes David is a competitor. Every single day he competes in the weight room and on the football field as well as in the classroom. He has an extremely bright future where he is headed.”

Takashi Shaw signed to play running back for Carnegie Mellon University’s Football program. He has been at PCA for two years. Takashi was named 2nd Team All-District Running Back. PCA Varsity Coach Donnie Yantis said, “Takashi loves God, he loves his friends and his teammates and he loves his school and academics. He pushed hard through his injury. He is one of the most talented guys on our team. He has a bright future and we are so proud of him.”
